College of Charleston junior + marketing major Julia K. has provided a guide to local brunch spots that offer experiences for every type of bruncher.

Whether your definition of brunch is shamelessly going for thirds at the buffet, rolling out of bed too late to call it breakfast, or topping off Mimosa carafes with a side of Bloody Mary’s – we’re here for it all.

These local Charleston gems offer invaluable experiences and mouthwatering food selections for your late breakfast/early lunch.

This trendy lower King St. breakfast + lunch spot has been a huge hit since it made its way to town in March of last year. From the photo booth to the vinyl record wall, to the wide variety of totally Instagrammable cocktails- it’s hard to leave this place without snapping a few pics.

While the vintage ambiance draws you in, their southern specialty bites will seal the deal. Wake up late? They have your back serving breakfast all day with their crowd-pleasing motto, “the best days start -or end- with a great breakfast and a great cocktail.”

While you might not have made it out on the boat today, you can drop your anchor at the Darling Oyster Bar. This charming raw bar transforms itself into a seafood-based brunch extraordinaire, featuring notable dishes such as shrimp + grits (topped with a fried egg of course), smoked salmon cake benedict, and *drumroll* a Bloody Mary topped with a lobster claw.

Sounds like the catch of the day!

So what if it’s before noon? Champagne is always a good idea. If you’re looking to get your fun started early, pop into Toast and pop some bubbly. Famous for their $14 bottomless mimosas, bacon-infused Bloody Mary’s, and hearty breakfast/lunch selection, Toast is a Charleston classic you can’t miss.

Added bonus: breakfast all day long.
