    Water with the blues 💦

    u/_Dippin_Dots_

If you’ve driven through Mount Pleasant and wondered why the fountains sometimes have bright blue water, you’re not alone.

While the color might not be the most visually appealing, Mount Pleasant Waterworks assures us that it’s an important process + won’t last long.

The color is the result of a disinfection + leak detection chemical that is used to service the area’s fountains twice a month. The pigment typically lasts around 48 hours before the water returns to normal. 💧
