South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster ordered all restaurants + bars in the state to close their dining areas, effective Wednesday, March 18.

While these measures are in place for a reason – the CDC recommends social distancing as a method of slowing the spread of coronavirus – there’s no denying that it’s going to cause our local businesses to take a hit.

During this time, we want to do what we can to support those businesses while protecting ourselves and our community. So today, we encourage those who can to place pick-up or delivery orders from your favorite local restaurants.

We’ve put together a list of restaurants that have already closed their dining rooms and implemented new curbside and/or delivery options. If you do opt to order in, make sure to to share your plates with us by using the hashtag #CHStoday on social media – because if we can’t dine out, we can dine in together.

Downtown

○ Rosebay at Thurston Southern | 1033 Wappoo Rd suite b | Pick-up and delivery featuring a variety of meals offered from gluten free and plant-based to Americana classics with thoughtfully sourced local and regional products. Along with meals there will be grocery items such as Geechie Boy Cornmeal & Grits and Storey Farm Eggs for purchase. Orders must be placed by 2p.m. the day before pick-up or delivery. Leave a virtual tip

With some restaurants suspending dining room service + others temporarily closing altogether, our food + bev workers are hurting. But there’s a new way to help – leaving employees a virtual tip.

○ Holy City Sinner put together a list of local employees + where they work so you can choose exactly who you’d like to tip.

○ ServiceIndustry.tips randomly selects a local F+B worker.

○ Tips can be sent through Venmo (and sometimes Cash App).

○ Anyone working in the restaurant industry can add their names to either list.
