Job purpose
Gild Group’s eCommerce Manager will be responsible for day-to-day store management efforts necessary to achieve Gild Group’s aggressive eCommerce growth plans for their online retailers. The candidate must possess strong eCommerce and account management skills, strategic planning capabilities, and digital marketing savvy. This role is based in Charleston, SC.
The role will partner closely with Gild Group’s business intelligence, marketing, creative, and promotions teams to execute key programs and initiatives. The position will require expertise in Shopify, Amazon Marketplace, and Klaviyo.
Duties and responsibilities
Own primary eCommerce sales channels: Shopify and Amazon. Management efforts include app installation / integration, page creation, product uploads, merchandising, creative updates, and general maintenance.
Day-to-day website operations including but are not limited to merchandising, inventory scrubbing, collection refreshes, product uploads, content updates, and all refreshes across the online storefront.
Oversee the management of third-party partners and applications in the Shopify marketplace.
Define, track and analyze website KPI’s, and work with the team to prioritize and implement site optimizations in the form of A/B testing, new features, new applications, and functionality for improved user experience.
Provide data analysis to upper management along with strategic solutions for increased sales and improved performance.
Manage overall online sales goals and present and implement a strategic approach to achieve them.
Collaborate with team members on email/SMS campaigns and flows.
Perform competitive analysis to better understand the industry landscape for eCommerce clients, as well as how to competently carve out a niche in the industry.
Develop and implement email marketing strategy, drive email list & revenue growth, profitability across Ecommerce, brick and mortar retail and outlet store sales channels.
Qualifications
3+ years experience within the e-commerce space.
Experience in Shopify, Amazon, and Klaviyo required.
Well-informed and passionate about online retail with in-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms and processes.
Ability to analyze data from multiple sources, including: market data, competitive analysis, and retail performance metrics.
Solid understanding of online user experience, website design, UX and interface issues.
Strong understanding of product positioning, online merchandising, and innovative processes that result in the best customer experience.
Consumer-centric; ability to incorporate both quantitative and qualitative customer insights.
Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and excellent communication skills.
Self motivated with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines; Experience in managing large scale projects (budgets, timelines, deliverables) with the ability to prioritize.
Proficient in Google Analytics with strong understanding of key e-commerce metrics.
Experience with HTML preferred.
