Lexa here. 👋
One of my favorite ways to spend a sunny weekend afternoon in Charleston is at Firefly Distillery. Whether it’s live music, yoga, a farmers market pop-up, or an oyster roast, there’s always something going on at the Park Circle spot. The energy is just unmatched.
This weekend, the distillery is hosting its inaugural fallFood Truck Festival with approximately 20 local food trucks serving up bites from barbecue to seafood. Check out the full list of participants and head to the spot at 4201 Spruill Ave. on Saturday from 12-5 p.m.Good news: The event is free.
Bonus: Read our Q+A with Firefly co-founder Scott Newitt.
Editor’s pick: Growing up, summers spent at theMt. Pleasant branch of the Charleston County Public Library were always special. My sister and I always participated in the summer reading competitions + I attribute (at least part of) my love of books and writing to the library’s activities.
During September, the Charleston County Public Library is celebrating library card sign-up month with the American Library Association. The library has partnered with Charleston County School District to allow Charleston County students access to any library servicesusing their school ID as a library card. (WCSC)
