This Nicholas Sparks romance novel turned Blockbuster hit was a very big deal from the time filming started until it hit theaters just before Valentine’s Day in 2010. Starring Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum, this romantic drama features Edisto Island, Sullivan’s Island, and several other Charleston spots.
John McClane is back for another adventure. But this time, Bruce Willis is stuck playing a game of Simon Says with the bad guy and he has the help of his new pal and sidekick, played by Samuel L. Jackson. Can you spot the Cooper River Bridge in this action flick?

Plans for a park are in the works along Wappoo Road in West Ashley where WPAL radio station used to be. The City of Charleston bought the waterfront property in 2015 to create a public park. The Charleston County School Board will continue looking for a new superintendent for the Charleston County School District in the new year. This matter is expected to be on the board’s meeting agenda on Monday, Jan. 9. (The Post and Courier)
