Still rocking around the Christmas tree? Here’s a tip: Christmas tree collection in the City of Charleston began Tuesday and its final collection week will end Friday, Feb. 10.

Heads up: Trees must be placed curbside so that equipment can reach them. Be sure to remove any decorations and tinsel before placing your tree for pickup.

We’re going to miss seeing trees lit up in Charleston windows. Until next holiday season...
THE WRAP
Today’s issue was written by Tatum.

Editors pick: A new project is going on at the SC Aquarium, one of my favorite local spots. Starting Monday, Jan. 9 and lasting into the summer, the outdoor mountain forest exhibit will close for renovations to improve the structure and mesh around the exterior.

The exhibit includes river otters Charlie and Beau (named after Charleston and Beaufort) and fish. Pssst: All animals will be properly cared for during the project and relocated within the aquarium as necessary.

The aquarium will remain open during the renovations — grab tickets.
