Y’all aboard. The Historic Charleston Foundation is hosting a Sunset Harbor History Boat Tour on Wednesday, March 22 and Wednesday, April 5, giving locals two opportunities to experience scenic views and learn about colonial history from a harborside perspective.

Attendees will board the Carolina Belle (which is wheelchair accessible), for a panoramic perspective of the South’s most storied seaport. Carin Bloom, published historian and the Foundation’s Manager of Education and Programming, will host the expedition and provide colorful commentary + historic facts while you enjoy stunning sunset views of Charleston’s architecture.

Limited space is available, and tickets include:

The ship will leave promptly at 6:15 p.m. from 10 Wharfside (guests must arrive no later than 6 p.m.).*

  • The Charleston RiverDogs, back-to-back league champions, return to the Joe on April 11 with single-game tickets on sale Tuesday, March 7. Snag tickets for opening night by this Friday to get half-off tickets for the next day’s game.
  • CofC’s board of trustees has approved a $5 million contract extension for men’s basketball coach Pat Kelsey. The contract will run through the 2027-2028 season. 🏀 (WCSC)

  • Spring Wine Festival is back next month. Charleston Wine Festivals will host the second annual fest at the Charleston Harbor Cruise Terminal near Fleet Landing on April 22. Look forward to 50+ wine selections, mimosas, and beer. Grab tickets by March 13 for $35 before the price goes up.
Job
  • The City of Charleston is calling for officials and umpires for youth soccer, baseball, softball, and lacrosse games this spring. A free training session will be provided. Everyone is welcome to sign up. To get involved, call Charleston’s Dept. of Recreation. (WCSC)
