On the heels of NASA launching Landsat 9 next month — a planned Earth observation satellite — the agency decided to spotlight Dr. Beach’s “Top 10 US Beaches of 2021 ” as seen by Landsat 8, including the Lowcountry’s own Beachwalker Park coming in at No. 9 on the list.
The park on Kiawah Island is operated by Kiawah Development Partners, Charleston County Council, and the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission.
