You voted (again), and the results are in. 🗳️

After the Nov. 5 election ended in a runoff between Mayor John Tecklenburg + Councilman Mike Seekings, the final votes were cast yesterday, and the City of Charleston has officially elected its mayor.

After Seekings conceded just before 9 p.m. last night, incumbent mayor John Tecklenburg declared victory to serve a second term.

As of that time, just over 90% of precincts were reporting Tecklenburg to have 11,750 votes (61.84%) compared to Seekings’ 7,252 (38.16%).

Seekings will continue to serve both on Charleston City Council (District 8) and as the chair of CARTA .
