Happy Thanksgiving, Charleston. The Holy City is known for its scenic Southern landscapes and historic charm. Today, one of the things we’re thankful for is Keep Charleston Beautiful — a program that’s been preserving our city’s natural beauty since 1977.

The program, led by manager Jamie Gillette, keeps the city beautiful + litter free through education, awareness, and community involvement. Keep Charleston Beautiful includes Daniel Island, Johns Island, James Island, West Ashley, and The Peninsula.

Wondering how you can get involved? Help local nonprofit Friends of Keep Charleston Beautiful by donating your time to litter sweeps, Adopt-A-Stop, tabling events, and fundraising.
