If you’ve been in the Lowcountry long enough, you’re probably familiar with Shades of Charleston .

The locally-owned store has been a one-stop shop for all your lifestyle-based needs, from Ray-Ban sunglasses to Free Fly hats, since it first opened in Mount Pleasant in September 2012 .

Well, folks, we’ve got good news. The business has announced that it’s headed for West Ashley across from Captain D’s and Boxcar Betty’s at 1917 Savannah Hwy. Here’s a peek at the upcoming shop.

While an opening date hasnt been announced yet, we’ll keep y’all posted. In the meantime, head to the Mount Pleasant or Sullivans Island locations .

We think it goes without saying, but this is a great small business to check out for your holiday gift needs. Shades has even made it easy with its gift guide . Wink wink.
