It’s no secret that there’s plenty of live musicin the Holy City. With local venues like Credit One Stadium, the North Charleston Performing Arts Center, Music Farm, and The Windjammer, we’d say that the odds of catching your favorite artist live in action are pretty good.

We spotted this update on the Old Charleston Jail renovation: Office and event space are being leased inside the property, with four office spaces on the second floor expected to be ready in March. The $15 million renovation features suites with 14 to 16-ft ceilings and exposed brick walls and may include a small café on the first floor. (Charleston Regional Business Journal)
A new ~13,000-sqftfreestanding emergency room is expected to open in Charleston County later this year, serving those who live and work in James and Johns islands and the surrounding communities. Raising a toast to Dreamboats 🛶

In case you missed it, Ben Towill of Basic Projects and Charlie Layton,Chef of Basic Kitchen teamed up to embark on a 3,000-milerace across the Atlantic, recognized as the world’s toughest row, as part of the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge in December.
To date, the Dreamboats team has raised more than $100,000 for The Green Heart Project, which is expected to be used to buildmodernteaching gardens in local public schools.
After six weeks on the ocean, Ben and Charlie have approximately three days left on their journey and are expected to land in Antigua, their final destination, this weekend.
