The Preservation Society of Charleston released the city’s first climate resilience guidelines to help with preserving historic sites, dealing with flooding issues, and the impacts of sea level risings. Read more about the preservation plan. (WCSC)

Starting today, a cooling center will open at 133 Red Bank Rd. in Goose Creek due to the hot temperatures. The center will have cold water, air conditioning, movies + games. The hours will be from today through Friday, 1-5 p.m. (WCIV)

Charleston, there’s a new spot to enjoy brunch. The Middleton Place Restaurant is now offering the popular meal time on Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Enjoy locally-sourced menu items like shrimp and grits or fried green tomatoes at one of the oldest landscaped gardens in America. In addition to food and drinks, there will be live music + scenic views of the surrounding Mill Pond and Azalea Hillside.
