Mount Pleasant’s Old Village will soon be home to a boutique hotel called The Seabird, according to the Post and Courier.
What to expect
The hotel will offer 23 rooms, including spacious suites, with tastefully designed interiors, luxurious furnishings, and decor. You will be able to hear the soothing sounds of the nearby Charleston Harbor.
Amenities will include a courtyard, a restaurant serving Lowcountry cuisine, and reservable spaces for events and gatherings. The land for the project was purchased for $925,000 by Village Inn LLC.
This is a developing story
The construction timeline is still pending — we’ll keep you updated as the project develops.
Once open, the boutique hotel will be within walking distance of neighboring businesses such as Post House and Wine Shop Old Village, and if you are adventurous, you can head out to Pitt Street Bridge.
