In other words: The Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch is back starting today, and we’re here to squash your questions + give the lowdown on what to expect when grabbing your gorgeous gourds.
🎃 The details
What | Recognized as one of the largest fall festivals in the state, this is a lot more than just a pumpkin patch; it’s also a corn maze, petting zoo, and all-around autumnal fest.
Where | Boone Hall pumpkin patch entrance, 2434 N. Hwy. 17, Mt. Pleasant.
When | Fridays-Sundays in October, starting this weekend.
Price | $15 (If your little pumpkin is under 3 years old, entrance is free with an accompanying adult).
🎃 What does admission get me?
Though your $15 pumpkin patch ticket won’t get you admittance to the whole farm and plantation, it will give you access to:
A pumpkin patch (of course), with pumpkins for sale by the pound

The City of Charleston and the US Army Corps of Engineers recently announced a new feasibility study on stormwater and flooding. Through the study, the organizations will research and analyze cost-effective, long-term solutions to reduce flood risk. (WCBD)
Festival
Riverfront Revival is returning to the Lowcountry. On Saturday, Oct. 7 and Sunday, Oct. 8, the local festival that’s curated and headlined by Darius Rucker will take place at North Charleston’s Riverfront Park. Other acts include Band of Horses, Turnpike Troubadours, and Lainey Wilson. Limited tickets are still available.
Civic
While the site of West Ashley’s former Piggly Wiggly may not have plans yet, city council recently voted to conduct a study on civic space needs in the area. The study’s goal is to create a starting point on how to use the Piggly Wiggly space, a decision that has been debated for months. (The Post and Courier)

Two new businesses recently opened in Citadel Mall: The Art of Grooming Cut Lounge + Imaginations of Myrtle Beach. The Art of Grooming will offer a range of hair services for all genders, while Imaginations will operate as a pop-up Halloween superstore. (Charleston Regional Business Journal)
Pets
In a span of 72 hours, 177 dogs and cats were recently brought to the Charleston Animal Society. Due to the influx, the organization is urging people to visit over the weekend and adopt an animal or help spread the word. (WCIV)

Little Palm is gonna party like it’s 1999 1989. The local poolside bar will host a1980s-themed Halloween bash on Saturday, Oct. 28 with South Beach-inspired cocktails, specialty dishes, and costume contest prizes like overnight stays at The Ryder + gift certificates to Little Palm.

The Rutledge Room — a new event venue by Hamby Catering — is now open in downtown Charleston at 207 Rutledge Ave.
