The Daily pop-up will end services on Saturday, Dec. 30. The coffeehouse filled the space after sister restaurant and Charleston mainstay Butcher & Bee (1085 Morrison Dr.) shut down in September. Its main location (652 King St.) will remain in business. There’s no word on what will fill the space in the NoMo neighborhood. (Eater Carolinas)
Development
There was a groundbreaking earlier this week for the Bonaire Park project. The space in downtown Summerville will bring restaurants, retail, and townhomes. The townhomes will span three and a half stories and have car garages, an expansive living area, and elevators in 17 units. (WCIV)
Weather
Record-setting high tide and storm surge associated with Sunday’s Nor’easter caused the USS Yorktown to slightly shift its berth. The USS Yorktown has only moved one other time since arriving in Mount Pleasant in 1975 — that was during Hurricane Hugo in September 1989. (WCBD)
Travel
The Charleston International Airport is the state’s busiest airport, which saw more than 504,000 passengers last month on arrivals and departures, pushing the yearly total to ~5.7 million. That surpasses the 5.32 million travelers reported in all of 2022. (The Post and Courier)
Ranked
