Celebrate Vicious Biscuit’s fifth anniversary with a special $5 menu

Celebrate a local biscuit shop’s fifth anniversary + save a little dough. Vicious Biscuit, known for its indulgent Southern creations, is unveiling a special $5 anniversary menu today, Dec. 22, at all locations. The $5 menu includes The Fat Boy, The Vicious, Hen Solo, Animal Farm, bubbles and cranberry mimosas.
George McLaughlin, co-founder, said, “Reaching our 5th anniversary is a thrilling milestone for us, and we owe it all to our incredible customers and hardworking employees who’ve been part of our journey.” Co-founder Michael Greeley thanked customers, saying, “Our devoted guests are the driving force behind our progress. Here’s to many more years of serving our communities and the privilege to continue pursuing our passion.”
Both Lowcountry locations are open today, Dec. 22, from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

The Open Space Institute (OSI) acquired property along Bradham Road on James Island and will develop it into a Charleston County park. The project will feature a freshwater pond, saltwater marsh views, and public access to the Stono River. OSI will transfer ownership to the Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission. (WCIV)
Closing
Oak Road Brewery is closing on Sunday, Dec. 31. The brewery has been open since 2015. On its last day, everyone is invited to the “Thanks for the Memories” party. You can send a photo of your favorite memory at Oak Road and photos will be displayed in a slide show during the party. (WCBD)

Two men were rescued by the United States Coast Guard off the coast of Charleston after their boat sank Tuesday, Dec. 19. A boat crew from Charleston and a helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Savannah were launched to rescue the boaters. Click here to see a video of the rescue. (WCSC)
