Head to either Five Loaves Cafe location for a three-course Valentine’s Day dinner for two. You’ll get an appetizer, a choice of two entrees, a dessert, and two glasses of bubbly. There will be walk-in dining only on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Pro tip: It’s also half-price wine night.
This Valentine’s Day, Sorelle will only offer the Buono San Valentino 2024 Tasting Menu. The five courses will include Pillows of Love Ricotta Ravioli, oysters, caviar, and lobster. Reservations are recommended.
Get crafty and create special handmade gifts. You’ll choose four hearts to decorate — all supplies are included. You can hide these hearts in lunch boxes, pockets, and purses for a surprise for your sweetheart.

MAHLE Behr, a German-based automotive supplier, is shutting down its North Charleston factory by the end of 2024. The factory located on Leeds Avenue makes parts for air-conditioners and radiators. This move will leave 466 people without a job. (The Post and Courier)

Outdoors
Charleston County Parks gave an update on Old Towne Creek County Park, and officials say it is on track to open next year. Upgrades to the park include new walking trails, an updated building, and a new learning center.

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina (on Sullivan’s Island) and Carolina Studios are teaming up to bring you Motown Throwdown at the next #Mex1Sessions on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18, and they will be $25 the day of the show.

Clink clink, it’s almost time to raise your glasses. The fifth annual Charleston Winter Wine Festival returns this month. The one-day event will take place on Saturday, Jan. 27, at Festival Hall, 56 Beaufain St.
Those 21 and older can enjoy live music + explore more than 50 types of wines along with mimosas and beers. All drink tastings and a souvenir acrylic wine glass are included with the purchase of your ticket, and food will be sold separately.
There will be an afternoon session from 12-4 p.m. and an evening session from 6-10 p.m. Tickets are $50 and will increase to $55 each after Thursday, Jan. 18. If tickets are still available the day of, they will be $65.
