Six Charleston spots offering dine-in + takeout options for the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is just around the corner on Sunday, Feb. 11, and we’re rounding up six restaurants with take-out + dine-in options for the big game. Pro tip: Be sure to also check out our 12 places to watch football around town.
Martin’s offers catering options such as bulk smoked meats, smoked wings, finger foods, and desserts. Pick-up is Sunday, Feb. 11, from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
For dining in, Kickin’ Chicken is offering $4 Miller Lite Drafts, $18 buckets of Miller Lite, Coors Light, and Miller High Life, and $20 buckets of Corona, Corona Light, and Pacifico.
For pick-up, they offer a tailgate package with 24 wings, 30 nuggets, sides, and a drink for $69.99.
This spot offers Big Game catering with platters like wings, ribs, sausage and pretzel bites, veggie options, and don’t forget the banana pudding. Orders must be placed by Friday, Feb. 9, and pick-ups are on Sunday, Feb. 11.
If you dine in, there is a special for $18 wings at the bar that includes one dozen wings with the choice of chipotle lime or fire-roasted green Chile.
If you want to pre-order for pick up, there’s the wing party with 24 chipotle lime wins, 24 fire-roasted green Chile wings, and the touchdown trio with chips + roja, guacamole, and queso. Pro tip: Place your order by Friday, Feb. 9
This barbecue eatery offers packages available for pick-up or shipping to your door. Football fans can cater the “Meat the Champion” for $250, which feeds up to 12 and includes chopped brisket and pulled pork, among other options. The other option is to get the “BBQ Touchdown” shipped to your door.
This watch party takes care of the cooking while you enjoy the game. Menu highlights include wings, dip, loaded fries, truffle popcorn, and fish tacos. The entry price is $50. Seating is limited, so make your reservation.

Buxton Books hosts author Sadeqa Johnson for a special book club event at the Mills House Charleston

Book lovers, get this: the Mills House Charleston hotel is now the official book club host for the local bookstore Buxton Books.
The first kick-off event is Thursday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. and will begin at Buxton Books (160 King St.) and host New York Times best-selling author Sadeqa Johnson to celebrate the paperback release of “The House of Eve.”
Local author Mary Alice Monroe will join Johnson, and after the program, ticket holders are invited to The Black Door Café in the Mills House for a book club discussion on “The House of Eve.” Make sure you’ve read the book because spoilers will be the topic of conversation. Plus, wine, cocktails, coffee, and snacks will be available for purchase.
Tickets are $19, including a signed, paperback copy of “The House of Eve.”
