• Sommba Cocina & Cellar in Mount Pleasant will close its doors today, Sept. 7, after opening in 2023 with a menu inspired by the flavors of Spain. Owner Ty Raju announced the news on Facebook. • The Charleston RiverDogs are looking to add another trophy to The Joe. The Dogs have clinched their fourth consecutive spot in the playoffs — boosting the team on their path to a back-to-back-to-back-to-back Carolina League championship. (Holy City Sinner)

• Play for a cause. CHS MAHJ SQUAD is hosting a mah jong + pickleball event to benefit Kids On Point, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underserved youth through education, mentorship, and athletics. Get your tickets for the event happening on Sunday, Oct. 8, at Crush Yard in Mount Pleasant.

• Netflix recently released the official teaser for season 4 of “Outer Banks,” some of which is filmed in Charleston. The first half of the new season will premiere Oct. 10 and the second half comes out Nov. 7. Check out these local spots featured in previous seasons.
