Charleston businesses help communities impacted by Helene

Clean-up continues across several Carolina communities following record rain, strong winds, and millions of dollars in damages caused by Helene. In true Lowcountry spirit, several Charleston businesses are lending a hand to those in need of extra support.
Here’s how you can help:
Charleston RiverDogs | Donation drop-off
Until Wednesday, Oct. 9 the team is collecting supplies for those in need.
City of Charleston | Volunteer + donation drive
The city’s police and fire departments are hosting donation drives + have deployed first responders, equipment, and supplies to folks impacted by Helene.
Harbour Club at WestEdge | Supply drive
The team is collecting non-perishable food, diapers, and water for victims of the storm.
Holy City Halloween | “Ghostly Give Back”
Tonight, Thursday, Oct. 3, $5 from each ticket will be donated to the Lowcountry Red Cross to help those impacted by Helene.
The Glass Onion | Cocktail for a Cause
Throughout October, a portion of cocktail proceeds will go to World Central Kitchen to support their efforts in helping those impacted by the storm.
The Citadel women’s soccer team | Drop off at Van Diver Hall
Head coach Ciaran Traquair announced the team is collecting supplies to take to NC this weekend when they play Western Carolina University.
Dog & Duck | All four Dog and Duck locations are holding an emergency relief drive for those in Asheville, NC. The first batch of supplies was sent to the mountain town on Wednesday, Oct. 2, and the team will continue collecting supplies for another trip.
The CODfather | The restaurant had a crew deliver a trailer of supplies for the people of Henderson County. Folks at the CODfather are continuing to accept donations for another trip this weekend.
Water Mission | The nonprofit is collecting donations to respond to the hardest-hit areas in western North Carolina. This group is starting its response in Boone, NC, working to provide generators + safe water.
