“We are honored that Mount Pleasant will be home to this nationally significant center,” said Mayor Will Haynie — who also serves on the Center’s Board of Directors.
“The Center for Leadership will not only have a profound impact on our local community, but it will also serve as a national driver of leadership and character development. It will enrich our town culturally and economically while reinforcing the values that unite us as Americans.”

Good morning, Charleston. Today marks my last day at the bottom of your newsletter for a little while, but I’ll be back the week after next — I’m getting married this weekend.
Last week, Callie and I went on our final outing before the big day, enjoying Estadio’s new lunch service and marveling at their incredible Halloween decor for the Espookio popup bar. I loved the Chirizo a la Sidra Montadito.
