Festival

Due to weather concerns, the Taste of Folly Savory Saturday event has been postponed to next Saturday, Jan. 25. The Cocktail Competition will still take place today, Friday, Jan. 17 as scheduled.

Development

MarineMax Charleston, a local boat dealer serving the community for over thirty years, recently broke ground on a new project. The facility will include a 5,000-sqft interior showroom and a 5,000-sqft canopy area, and is slated to be finished later this year. (Charleston Regional Business Journal)

Pat Eidson, Pinewood Prep’s head boy’s basketball coach, is now the all-time winningest head coach in the state’s high school history. Eidson began coaching at the Summerville private school in 1990 and now has 944 career games. Congrats, coach. (WCBD)

Khruangbin announced that the musical trio is stopping by the Holy City for their upcoming “A La Sala” Tour. They will play at North Charleston’s Firefly Distillery on Tuesday, April 15. Tickets go on sale today, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m.
