Rusty Bull Brewing Co. has closed its downtown taproom, but the North Charleston location will remain open. This closure follows the company’s acquisition of Bluffton-based brewery Southern Barrel Brewing Co. The deal is expected to increase Rusty Bull’s production capacity. (Holy City Sinner)

A new hair salon will soon call King Street home. Moxie Charleston will be open seven days a week and located on the second floor of 487 King St., next to Sewing Down South. It welcomes walk-ins and offers blowouts, haircuts, hair color, and makeup. Take a peek inside.

The Charleston International Airport is making changes to the TSA security screening process for families. It’s looking to add dedicated family lanes to help alleviate stress when traveling with little ones. The initiative is currently in place at the Orlando International and Charlotte-Douglas International Airports. (WCIV)
History
Speaking of the airport — it was founded on Aug. 10, 1929, and was privately owned before the city purchased part of the property in 1931. It served as a military base in WWII and the Korean War. A joint use agreement was signed in 1973, and the Charleston County Aviation Airport Authority assumed control in 1979. (WCSC)
