Prepare to indulge: the Black Food Truck Festival returns this weekend for its 5th annual spring event. The festival will be held at Exchange Park today through Sunday, April 26 featuring premier food, high-energy entertainment, local vendors, and family-friendly activities.
Club Coastal (formerly Coastal Caviar) will host its grand opening tomorrow, April 25 at 139 Market St., starting at 11 a.m. Expect mimosas, a caviar bar, a flower bar, and live sax. The first 50 guests who buy a six-charm necklace receive a tote, mock neck, and hat.

The empty North Charleston Wild Wing Cafe was purchased by the neighboring Chick-fil-A, which is closed for renovations. Plans include expanding into the former restaurant space, bringing the Chick-fil-A to 5,603 sqft with a multi-lane drive-thru. (The Post and Courier)
Nexton is now home to Dog & Duck, a spot for bites, drinks, and a lively atmosphere. Did we mention it’s dog-friendly? The pub is located just around the corner from Harris Teeter on Crosspark Lane. We’re eyeing the Jack Dalton quesadilla, which will pair perfectly with some college baseball.

Today, we’re taking a closer look at the city’s Board of Architectural Review (BAR), which is listed under the City of Charleston’s planning, preservation, and sustainability branch, along with the Design Review Board.
The BAR is made up of two sections: BAR-Large (BAR-L), which handles large projects such as Courier Square Phase II and Building I, and BAR-Small (BAR-S), which handles smaller projects such as remodeling a church’s front porch.
