Hey Charleston, Tatum here. Last Sunday, I attended the soft opening of Port of Call Food + Brew Hall — a new food hall opening today in downtown Charleston.

Port of Call is a 10,000-sqft space located at 99 S. Market St.the former location of Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. The redesigned space includes a two-story indoor food hall set behind a large outdoor patio.

There are several vendors to choose from, including Greek restaurant Bapkó Grill House (pronounced var-ko), Asian fusion eatery Bok Choy Boy, Empire Oyster, Iaca acai bowls, and Palmira Barbecue.

The vendors offer locally-sourced, organically-grown food served in sustainable packaging. The hall has 3 bars including one on the patio. The bars serve beer, wine, and spirits with a focus on local craft beers.

I ordered a spicy tuna poke bowl from Iaca and sat down at a picnic table in the courtyard, which is shaded by live oaks strung with twinkle lights. The bowl was delicious + I can’t wait to go back and try out the other eateries.
