Interested in giving your career in human resources a boost? UofSC recently announced a new partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest human resources organization .
UofSC now offers SHRM courses and certificates that will help prepare current (and future) human resource professionals across the state. (Read: These courses can help you improve your skills, which can help you become a more hireable candidate.)
To get started, prospective students can enroll in the SHRM Essentials Course , which will take place online from April 25-28 from 6-9 p.m. or in person on July 12, 14, 19, and 21 from 6-9 p.m. This course provides an introductory overview of key human resource topics + issues in the industry to help early-career professionals.
UofSC will also host a four-week SHRM Certificate Course that will guide mid- to late-career HR professionals as they review everything they need to know in order to pass the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam. The Certificate Course runs online on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m. between June 6 and July 18 and again in the fall from Oct. 3 to Nov. 9.
Registration is open for both courses. There’s no deadline for registration, and students will be accepted up until the start of a class. Pro tip: Military members, senior citizens, UofSC alumni, students, faculty, and staff will receive a 10% discount.*
