We love to see the joy that volunteering brings to these smiling faces.

The Trident United Way school supply drive is happening now, providing over 2,000 school supply-filled backpacks to underserved students in Charleston.

The supply drive is virtual and you can purchase supplies or backpacks through the online portal to donate, until Wednesday, July 19. Once the portal closes, Trident United Way will purchase supplies in bulk to stuff the backpacks.

Volunteer opportunities are available on Tuesday, August 8 and Wednesday, August 9 to assist in filling the backpacks. Those interested in volunteering can contact Katherine Torbush at ktorbush@tuw.org.

With the new school year coming up, this program is a great way to volunteer to help every child in Charleston gain an education.
