Yesterday, Early Bird Diner celebrated 14 years of “cracking eggs and taking names” in the Lowcountry.

Commonly recognized as an iconic local landmark, the diner has served classic breakfast dishes, sandwiches, platters, and everything in between at 1644 Savannah Hwy. in West Ashley since 2008.

Lexa here. I don’t know about y’all, but I have some incredibly fond memories of weekends spent here with my family enjoying an order of the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. Some might say 14 years in business feels like a lifetime, and I’ll happily raise a toast to 14 more.

Last March, Early Bird was also voted the best chicken + waffles in Charleston by our readers during our very own March Madness bracketso y’all solidified my opinion.

Happy anniversary, Early Bird Diner. 🥂
