There’s a golden ticket in town, no chocolate bars required. Charleston County Parks offers a Gold Pass that buys you unlimited admission to numerous parks, recreational centers, and special events.

Heres how it works:

  • Purchase a Gold Pass online and present it to be scanned for admission
  • Passes are per car and allow up to 15 people in your vehicle
  • Get unlimited visits to ~15 parks and recreational centers including James Island County Park and Folly Beach County Park — see them all
  • Attend events like the Harvest Festival and Holiday Festival of Lights (one-time admission) for free — see them all
  • Access special park and program discounts in a monthly email
  • Receive $15 off SC Aquarium annual memberships

Now check out the cost:

  • Standard rate: $90
  • Charleston County residents: $75
  • Ages 60 and up: $60

Admission prices to these county parks without the Gold Pass range from $1-$20 per person. Unlock a year of exploring local parks here .
