A new family adventure park is coming to the Lowcountry. Adrenaline Monkey is scheduled to open in June at 4950 Centre Pointe Dr., Ste. 100, across from the Tanger Outlets Mall.

The facility will have adventure zones for all ages and abilities and space for events. Think: birthdays, corporate events, fundraisers, field trips, and team building.

Other features:

  • Ninja warrior obstacle course with fog and buzzers
  • Mega boulder wall
  • Slides
  • Arcade

This concept began in June 2018 in Cleveland, OH, after founder Denise Carkhuff’s twin daughters watched the American Ninja Warrior television program and desired a space where their community could be like the contestants.

“Adrenaline Monkey is not only for children, but for anyone willing to emancipate their wild child on approachable adventures,” says Carkhuff.

John’s Island resident Jamie Haggerty (who was the former general manager at the original location) lobbied for Adrenaline Monkey to expand to the Charleston area and will now serve as a corporate manager. This will be the facility’s fourth location.
