When you think Charleston, history, culture, and architectureprobably come to mind. It wouldnât be out of the ordinary to walk down a cobblestone alleyway, come upon a historic home, and spot a lush secret garden.
What if we told you that you can take a closer look? The Preservation Society of Charlestonâs annualFall Tours are coming up next month and tickets are still available for select programs.
Between Oct. 5-29, attendees will learn about local architecture, landscapes, neighborhoods, and cultural heritage and experience it all first-hand in downtown Charleston. Pro tip: Wear comfortable walking shoes, trust us.
Hereâs a little background info: The Preservation Society of Charleston is the nationâs first preservation organization. This nonprofit is dedicated to protecting the cityâs unique character, quality of life, and diverse neighborhoods.
If youâre interested in volunteering, complete a Volunteer Application. Volunteers will be provided with training materials + receive a voucher to attend a Saturday Piazzas and Gardens Tour of their choice.
