When you think of Charleston — history, culture, and architecture probably come to mind. It wouldn’t be out of the ordinary to walk down a cobblestone alleyway, come upon a historic home, and spot a lush secret garden.

What if we told you that you could take a closer look? The Fall Tours, an annual event by the Preservation Society of Charleston, is coming up next month, and tickets are still available for select programs.

From Wednesday, Oct. 9 to Saturday, Nov. 2, attendees will learn about local architecture, landscapes, neighborhoods, and cultural heritage and experience it all first-hand. Pro tip: Wear comfortable walking shoes, trust us.

This year’s offerings include a wide range of experiences like the Insider’s Garden Tours, the Insider’s History and Architecture Tours, and Specialty Hard Hat Tour.

About the organization

The Preservation Society of Charleston is the nation’s first preservation organization. This nonprofit is dedicated to protecting the city’s unique character, quality of life, and diverse neighborhoods.

Heads up: Tickets are selling quickly, and select programs may be sold out. Explore all tour offerings.
