You can add a little salt and lime to your day because today is National Tequila Day. We’re sharing a few Lowcountry spots where you can raise your glass and responsibly enjoy this fun holiday.
Taco Boy, Folly Beach, downtown Charleston + Summerville | Enjoy an all-day $5 special featuring classic Casa margaritas and Skinny Casas, a curated list of tequilas, mezcals, and cristalinos + fresh-juiced craft cocktails and margaritas.
Mex 1 Coastal Cantina, West Ashley, Sullivan’s Island + Mount Pleasant | Margarita Monday will be even more fun with buy-one-get-one-free Mex 1 margaritas + free tequila samples from 5 to 7 p.m.
SOL Southwest Kitchen, Mount Pleasant and Summerville | Both locations are highlighting Komos New Anejo, Rosa, Siete Misterios Mezcal, and High Noon Grapefruit tequilas. Plus, relax with live music from Derek Crib and Hollyn Hills.

Popular pink-themed eatery The Co-Op’s newest location opened last week in Nexton. Visit 1231 Nexton Pkwy., Unit B, for breakfast, coffee, gourmet sandwiches and salad — and 40 rotating flavors of frosé. Open daily from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
Development
Two multi-use paths are headed to Folly Beach after an approval by City Council last week. The project — scheduled to kick off this winter during the tourist off-season — aims to increase pedestrian safety + will also improve drainage. Work will take place along East Cooper Avenue and Indian Avenue, with the possibility of expansion to other locations. (WCSC)

No. 20. That’s what Charleston ranked on Roof Gnome’s list of “Best Cities for Rooftop Drinking” The rankings were based on cocktails, access, consumer ratings, affordability, and climate. The Holy City came in seventh for number of hotels with rooftop bars.
Plan Ahead
Charleston County Parks’ Sunrise Yoga series will wrap up the season with two final sessions. The next class will be held Saturday, Aug. 26, at 7 a.m. at the Mount Pleasant Pier. The last class will be held Saturday, Sept. 9, at 7 a.m. at Kiawah Beachwalker Park. Advanced registration is $10.
