• The Town of Mount Pleasant and its Chamber of Commerce are encouraging folks to support local restaurants. The third annual Dine Where You Live campaign is underway and lasts through the end of the month. Every week, one lucky diner will win a $50 gift card to a local restaurant.

• To infinity and beyond. The engineering club at East Cooper Center for Advanced Studies will work with NASA as part of the TechRise Student Challenge. The team will complete their project by April and this summer, their project will soar in a high-altitude balloon 70,000 feet above the earth’s surface. (WCIV)

• Join Palmetto Pride for the 17th Annual Francis Marion National Forest Clean Up. It’s taking place at The Francis Marion National Forest (which is ~55 minutes from Charleston and ~35 minutes from Mt. Pleasant) on Saturday, Feb. 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Register today.

• Lowcountry Harley Davison and nonprofit Lowcountry Veterans are teaming up to host a polar plunge charity ride on Sunday, Feb. 4, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Attendees don’t have to ride to plunge and won’t have to plunge to ride. (WCSC)

• Mex 1 is in its Lover Era. From Monday, Feb. 5 to Sunday, Feb. 18th, all Mex 1 locations are inviting guests to participate in the T Swift Galentine Giveaway. Participants have the chance to win two tickets to see Taylor Swift in New Orleans on Friday, October 25th. The giveaway is for tickets only.
