Home Team BBQ’s Rock the Block event returns this weekend
Ronald McDonald House Charities provide almost 2 million overnight stays every year worldwide | Photo by: Home Team BBQ
Ain’t no party like a Home Team party. If you’re looking for a way to give back to your community, Home Team BBQ has you covered. Saturday, Feb. 24, the restaurant is hosting its sixth annual Rock the Block party from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its downtown location at 126 Williman St.
The fundraiser will feature award-winning chefs, craft cocktails + beer and will benefit Hogs for the Cause + the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston. Both organizations provide temporary housing + financial assistance to families of children fighting pediatric cancers. Last year, Home Team BBQ raised over $90,000.
Of course, no good party is complete without good music — the lineup will feature artists like Krasno/Moore Project, Honey Island Swamp Band + Broken Speakers. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
Already made weekend plans but still want to contribute? There’s an option to donate directly.

Charleston might be well-known for its food scene, but my favorite thing to do in Charleston is to relax at the Salt Spa + Yoga. My favorite spa treatment is “Revitalize”.
