The future Angel Oak Preserve was named a Community Forest by the Old-Growth Forest Network, recognizing its ecological and cultural value. Construction begins next year on the 44-acre site, which includes the centuries-old Angel Oak and surrounding maritime forest. See the plans above.

On the road to a smoother drive. Charleston County Public Works gave an update on construction for the Main Road Corridor Segment A Project. The project broke ground in April and is set to be completed in 2028. There will be quarterly meetings until construction is finished. (WCIV)
