The Battery’s iconic “Piggly Wiggly” house — named for the pig statues out front — is on the market for the first time in nearly 30 years. Former Piggly Wiggly Carolina CEO Joseph “Buzzy” Newton III bought it in 1997, after longtime ownership by the parents of former Charleston Mayor Joe Riley. (The Post and Courier)
