Parents, consider this your sign: don’t wait until the last day of school to figure out your child’s summer plans.
LTP summer camps are back, offering kids a high-energy, healthy way to spend their break — no screens required.
With expert coaching and dynamic programming, each camp focuses on building confidence, sharpening skills, and developing a strong competitive mindset.
Here’s what to know before spots fill up.
Youth tennis camps
Young athletes ages 5-14 can join weekly, skill-based sessions grouped by age and ability. Through a blend of foundational instruction, fun rally games, and supportive match play, players build coordination, focus, and confidence in an encouraging, team-oriented environment.
Camps run June 1 through August 7 from 9 a.m. to noon. at LTP Daniel Island.
Junior pickleball camps
It’s no secret that pickleball continues to gain momentum locally, and LTP’s youth program is growingright along with it.
These camps introduce fundamentals while keeping gameplay fun, social, and approachable for all levels.
Heads up: Space is limited for camps held the weeks of June 9, July 14, and August 4 at LTP Daniel Island.
Academy high performance summer camp
The Academy & High Performance Camp at LTP Mount Pleasant offers a more intensive summer track for advanced juniors preparing for tournament play and seeking the next level of development.

The program runs June 1 through August 7, with weekly, four-week, and full-summer options available.

The North Charleston Fire Department recently celebrated the groundbreaking of its new marine burn building. The $3 million facility will be the only training spot of its kind in the region, serving the North Charleston Fire Department, the US Coast Guard, Joint Base Charleston, and other local fire agencies. Mark your calendar, because this sounds like a shear-iously good time. On Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Riversong Shearing will return to Middleton Place for the fourth year in a row to shear the flock of 30 Gulf Coast Sheep that live on the property.
This family-friendly event will showcase live shearing, where you can learn the importance of this practice and how the wool is processed and used. Don’t miss the spinning and dyeing demonstrations with wool in the stableyards.
