The city, Charleston Housing Authority, the WestEdge Foundation, and the county are hosting a weeklong design workshop focused on mixed-income, mixed-use affordable and workforce housing opportunities on the Upper Peninsula. Today’s event is a lecture with Ben Pentreath from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Dock Street Theatre.

Charleston Waterkeeper, the SCDNR SCORE program, and Cummins Inc. (a global power solutions company) are teaming up to protect 7,000 sqft of the Stono River.
