This week, developers broke ground on The Society at Laurens – a luxury apartment community in downtown Charleston.
A luxury apartment community called The Society at Laurens is being constructed at 18 Society Street
Located at 18 Society Street (right next to the old True Value Hardware on East Bay Street, by Harris Teeter), The Society at Laurens will consist of 148 apartment units spanning across two buildings that will be separated by Laurens Street.

We’re told the community will be ‘amenity-rich’, with perks like:
○ A resort-style pool
○ A resident lounge
○ A fitness center
○ A business center
Pre-leasing is projected to begin in 2021, + the developers (Tennessee-based Southern Land Company) expect it to be ready for tenants to start moving in later that year. No word yet on what rent will cost.
