$12+ million recreation complex coming to Hanahan, SC

In case you missed it, the City of Hahahan is getting a new recreation complex — the first recreation space to open since the city’s population has doubled. The upcoming $12+ million complex is located off of Henry Brown Boulevard near Bowen’s Corner Elementary School.

The center will offer:

  • dog parks
  • walking trails
  • tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts
  • a playground
  • a multi-purpose recreation building
  • public parking
  • restrooms
  • picnic areas including a covered pavilion
  • synthetic and natural sports fields

Site design firm SeamonWhiteside is nearing completion of the Hanahan Recreation Complex, with an expected finish and open date in early 2023.
