Pleasant — doubling its width at a cost of $308 million per mile. In other words — this will be the most expensive road project in SC.
What does the project involve?
- Replacing the Don Holt Bridge with two higher parallel bridges
- Replacing the Wando Bridge with two lower parallel bridges
- Restructuring the Long Point Road interchange in Mt. Pleasant
- Relocating dozens of residences + businesses
There will be two in-person meetings to discuss the plan. The first meeting will be held tonight at the R. L. Jones Center in Mt. Pleasant, followed by a meeting tomorrow night at the Felix C. Davis Community Center in North Charleston.
