Bastille Day is a French holiday celebrated annually on July 14, marking the anniversary of the Storming of Bastille, an event in the French Revolution.

You don’t have to be French to observe the holiday, anyone can join in on celebrating one of the nation’s oldest allies. Keep reading for three events.

Bastille Day Brunch | Sunday, July 14 | 10 a.m.-3 p.m. | The Palmetto Cafe in The Charleston Place, 205 Meeting St. | This French-inspired Sunday brunch features live music and a curated menu including French cheese, croissants, Dauphinoise Potatoes, Salmon en Croute, and desserts.

Bastille Day Dinner | Sunday, July 14 | Times vary | Azur, 159 Market St. | This restaurant will celebrate by offering a prix fix menu with buffet hors d’oeuvres, cheese and charcuterie, French music, and sips.
