Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, is next week (Feb. 13), and this celebration is filled with beads, masks, and delicious food. Check out where to celebrate in Charleston.

Mardi Gras Masquerade | Friday, Feb. 9 | 9 p.m. | Bay Street Biergarten, 549 E. Bay St.

Don’t miss this free carnival at Bay Street Biergarten. Come dressed in your Mardi Gras best and dance the night away with music from DJ Jerry Feels Good. Pro tip: There will be drink specials and a costume contest.

This Mardi Gras-themed pet adoption will have Debbie Fisher Realty + Pet Helpers onsite with adoptable puppies. Michael’s Barkery will also be there.

Visit historic Downtown Summerville, which turns into a special marketplace with local entertainment and vendors — next week’s theme is Mardi Gras. There will be cajun food and live New Orlean Tunes played by the Summerville Orchestra.
