Charleston run benefits Veterans + the Warrior Surf Foundation

Stride the Wave 5k aims to help Veterans by donating funds to the Warrior Surf Foundation.

Running for a reason. Next month, runners, joggers, and walkers will head to James Island County Park for the Stride the Wave 5k, a run that benefits the Warrior Surf Foundation (WSF).

Money raised will go towards the WSF’s surf therapy program, which provides Veterans struggling with PTSD and other mental health challenges free surf therapy, yoga, and wellness classes.

Date: Sunday, April 21
Check-in and T-shirt pickup: 8 a.m.
Race time: 9 a.m.
Where: James Island County Park
Park entry fee: $2 for everyone over the age of two.

Registration is open. Adults will pay $40, it will cost Warrior Surf Alumni $30, and registration for kids is $15.

Pro tip: Register before Sunday, March 31 to receive a T-shirt.
