A taste of the Lowcountry: Chef’s Potluck returns May 18

Don’t miss the 17th annual Chef’s Potluck that celebrates local flavor with top chefs, farm-fresh bites, family fun, and a chance to support Charleston’s local food system.

Small wooden trays filled with golden fried fritters topped with fresh herbs, served over a creamy herb sauce, displayed on a wooden surface.

Don’t miss out on dishes made with fresh, local ingredients.

Mark your calendar for one of Charleston’s most anticipated fundraisers — Lowcountry Local First’s 17th annual Chef’s Potluck on Sunday, May 18. Set against the scenic marsh at the Porter Room at Holy City Brewing in North Charleston, this event features over 20+ local chefs partnering with farmers, fishermen, and ranchers to highlight the freshest Lowcountry ingredients.

Guests can enjoy tastings from every chef, sip on local libations, groove to live music, and soak in the views. Tickets are all-inclusive, and kids 12 and under attend free. Families can enjoy the Petit Chefs Kids Tent and a baby goat petting session from The Goatery at Kiawah River.

Bonus: Lowcountry Local First is also inviting the community to pledge your support to Charleston’s local food system by joining its Eat Drink Local Challenge. By committing to shift $10 or more of your weekly food and beverage spending to local sources, you’ll help strengthen our community.

City Editor Erika here. I’m super stoked to attend this event — it’s for a great cause, and you get to enjoy dishes from so many different, wonderful Lowcountry restaurants in one day, like The Grocery, FIG, The Obstinate Daughter, and more.
