Charleston Wine + Food is officially in full swing. The popular festival started with its opening party last night and will continue throughout the weekend.

Several Charleston businesses are hosting their own food and drink events. Keep reading for five exciting happenings that aren’t officially affiliated with Charleston Wine + Food but still offer a great way to sip and savor alongside the festivities.

Thursday, March 6

Sorelle Nightcap | Sorelle | 9 p.m.–1 a.m. | Price of purchase

To welcome visiting chefs and festival-goers, Chef Nick Dugan and his team are hosting a special edition of Sorelle’s Wood-Fired Thursday. Expect wood-fired creations topped with Sabatino Truffles, plus wines and beers from Fatty’s.

Pro tip: Dishes and drinks are served à la carte.

Friday, March 7

Ham & Whiskey Happy Hour | Beautiful South | 2–4 p.m. | Free

Lady Edison Ham and Virgil Kaine are teaming up with the Beautiful South crew for a tasting event featuring bites, cocktails, freshly sliced country ham samples, and a whiskey tasting.
