There will soon be another place to play pickleball this summer, for a limited time. Plus, it’s free and open to all skill levels.

The Ryder Hotel, Short Court, and Volley will present Wimbledon With A Wink, a pickleball experience in The Backyard at The Ryder Hotel (237 Meeting St.).

All players have to do is reserve their court time on Resy. Pro tip: Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. To play, picklers can check in with the host at Little Palm, who will provide them with paddles and a ball, and then play for their one-hour time limit.

Want to learn from some pros? Pickleball pros Gaurav Kunwar and Sangram Kadam will be in The Backyard on the following dates:

  • Saturday, July 6 | 3-6 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 7 | 1-4 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 13 | 3-6 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 14 | 1-4 p.m.

Exhibition Game:

On Friday, July 12 from 4 to 6 p.m., there will be an exhibition game featuring the pickleball pros. In the first hour, the pros will go head to head on the short court. During the second hour, guests can play with the pros and get mini-lessons.
